Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Last Sunday’s service moved me so much that it made my heart cry out, thanking Him for what He had given and done in my life. We had a guest speaker named Naphtaly Mattah. He was from Kenya, from a small community called Suba. People there did not know God. They believed in spirits and witchcraft. He was once a drunkard and did not think about living righteous until one night when he had encountered an old lady. This old lady told him that he will be the chosen one to bring the Good News in his community. At first he didn’t believe because he didn’t even thought about being a preacher and that he knew he is a sinner. But then they prayed and he prayed with all his heart and right after that, he said he felt that a big burden was lifted up from his body and he started sobbing.

He started his mission, he went to school, started to find Bible group studies and the like. He realized then that he must share the Good News to his people so he came back to his community. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a Bible being translated in their language yet. With all his effort, he translated the Bible and now they have a version of New Testament in their native tongue.

What touched me really the most is when they showed this video to his people and reacted after watching that of how Christ gave up His life for us. It was phenomenal on how these people responded, their hearts cried out, they understood what God has done for us, to save us. And it made me realize that I am so fortunate to be in this place right now to complain and not be contented on what I have. These people don’t know about love until one person reached and had the courage to help and save lives. I salute this guy for having patience and such compassion for his people.

This just reminded me that I should learn how to appreciate things more, like what I have. I will never forget Proverbs 30:8 that says, “Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.” This would always keep me on the ground. This would remind me to just thank God for everything. If you have nothing, thank Him for He wants you to learn, if you have everything, thank Him for He wants you to appreciate and humble yourself.

This love He has for us is unfailing, unconditional, and forever. How lucky am I to have Him as my everything? VERY MUCH LUCKY, THANK YOU. :)
